Fusilli lunghi is a long, spiral-shaped pasta. Serve it with a meaty, slow cooked sauce like ragu alla bolognese. The sauce gets trapped in the twists and grooves of the pasta, so each mouthful is full of flavour.
This curly pasta is also delicious with pesto. If you fancy a change from basil, try making pesto alla Trapanese. Originating from Sicily, it’s made with almonds, tomatoes, Pecorino and garlic.
