Kaya coconut jam is an almost toffee-like coconut spread or coconut curd – delicious eaten with a spoon or spread on toast. In fact it is so popular in Malaysia and Singapore that coconut jam on toast is known as ‘kaya toast’. The spread is often enjoyed for breakfast, but also throughout the day.
