The Ultimate British Afternoon Tea
Whether you’re visiting London for a holiday from near or far, celebrating an occasion with loved ones, or just want to learn to make your own scones from scratch, join us for the ultimate quintessential British afternoon tea experience. Of course, you can enjoy afternoon tea all over the city, but it’s rare that you can say that your scones were handmade and still warm out of the oven. Delicious! Divertimenti represents the best of heritage quality cookware, and being situated right between Kensington and Knightsbridge, there is no better setting for your afternoon tea experience.
You’ll kick off by making your very own fresh scones to enjoy with cream and jam, while your teacher Chelsea will show you how to make a traditional Victoria Sponge, before you finally sit down to enjoy your scones and cake with a selection of homemade finger sandwiches, loose leaf tea and a glass (or two!) of bubbles.
What’s included:
- Refreshments on arrival and available throughout the class.
- One hands-on recipe (scones), one demonstrated recipe (Victoria sponge) and a sit down afternoon tea at the end including your scones, Victoria sponge cake and finger sandwiches.
- 10% discount on purchases made in store on the day of your class, including cookery classes. Excludes books, food, electrical items, gift vouchers and sale items
Chelsea Bodenham
Chelsea is a familiar face to cookery school regulars, being a full-time member of the Divertimenti Cookery School team. She works alongside Jules, Head of the Cookery School, to put on a range of cookery masterclasses and demonstrations. Having cooked and baked for chalet guests during a ski season, she is no stranger to a Victoria Sponge cake or afternoon tea, and it is in the mountains that she found her love for cooking, baking and entertaining.
